Set aside a few minutes for the first connection and keep the instructions supplied with your adapter nearby. Complete setup while safely parked.
Before connecting the adapter
- Confirm that wired CarPlay works with your iPhone in the vehicle.
- Locate the USB port used for CarPlay data, which may differ from a charging-only port.
- Keep Bluetooth and Wi-Fi enabled on the iPhone for wireless pairing.
Follow your adapter's pairing instructions
Connect the adapter to the appropriate port, allow it to start and follow the pairing steps in its instructions. Check the device name against those instructions before accepting a pairing request. The exact name and screen sequence can vary by product version and infotainment system.
Check the first session
While parked, confirm that the CarPlay screen opens and that the controls and audio you normally use respond as expected. A successful initial test is useful before you depend on the connection for a journey.
If setup does not finish
Check the cable or port and your phone's wireless settings. Note the step where the process stops and any message on the phone or vehicle screen. Contact us before applying firmware from an unfamiliar source or changing advanced vehicle settings.
For support, send your order number, adapter version, vehicle make/model/year, head-unit details, phone model, iOS version and a photo of the message. Contact LUXELULL support.
